Celebrate the New Year at Your Baltimore Apartment
In this post, The 501 Blog is featuring a few tips for how to celebrate New Year’s Eve at your apartment. We have tips both for throwing a New Year’s party as well as ideas for a quieter celebration at home without a bunch of people around. We hope that you enjoy your New Year’s celebration in Baltimore, MD this year, no matter how or where you celebrate.
Warm up on New Year’s with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. We love this slow cooker salted caramel hot chocolate, this creme brulee white hot chocolate, and this french hot chocolate. We think that you’ll love having any of these hot chocolate options at your New Year’s party this year.
New Year’s can involve a lot of waiting. You’re waiting for the clock to strike twelve, you’re waiting for the appetizers to come out of the oven, you’re waiting for your guests to arrive. Play a few games to make the time pass more quickly. Minute-to-win-it games can be an easy way to liven up your night. We also like this New Year’s Resolution Mad Libs game.
If you’re not quite up to celebrating with others, you can always stay in with your very own movie marathon. Fandango has a list of 13 New Year’s Eve Movies You Need to See. Our favorites on the list include When Harry Met Sally (1989), Ghostbusters II (1989), and Ocean’s 11 (1960).
A Netflix New Year’s
Tired of watching movies? Binge watch your favorite series on Netflix to ring in the New Year. The Crown (a new season!), How I Met Your Mother, and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 are three of our favorite shows currently on Netflix. We think that bringing in the New Year with any of these shows is a great idea.
Decorate your apartment for New Year’s. WooHome has a list of DIY projects for New Year’s. We especially like the glitter balloons, foil curtains, and sequin photobooth DIY featured on their list. Any of these fun ideas would be a fun way to liven up your apartment for New Year’s.
